Get Outside
Stepping out of your house is a great and easy way to improve both your physical and mental health at the same time. When you go outside you benefit in so many ways. The rays from the sunshine will top up your vitamin D levels, the fresh air will work to reduce stress and ignite positive signals being sent from your brain.
Once outside you can choose how you want it to benefit you. Even just sitting outside and listening to your surroundings can create peace, tranquility, and a quiet moment for you to just be. You may choose to go for a walk, not only can you gain from the peace but you are then also taking an additional step in improving your physical health.
Learn To Breathe
Yes, you breathe every day, however when you spending time learning breathing techniques and how to breathe properly you will find that there are additional benefits other than keeping you alive.
Breathing techniques allow you a moment to really focus on yourself. You are taking some time to really engage with your core, re-oxygen the body, center yourself, and really just take yourself away from your normal busy life and think. Not only are you able to get all of that instantly but, breathing is a great way to manage your emotions and other feelings you may have such as anxiety, stress, or depression.
